Aptean Backorder Management for Food and Beverage
by Aptean
Improved backorder with ability to view affected order lines & easily manage future orders.
Fluctuating demand for certain food and beverage items has wreaked havoc on the industry’s supply chains. Although you likely experience supply chain disruptions that result in backorders for your customers, you still require a way to ensure goods are delivered as soon as possible.
Better Backorder Management
With Aptean Backorder Management for Food and Beverage, users can review sales order lines that are not yet shipped and reallocate them to a separate new or existing sales order in order to improve on-time shipments and revenue from available items. Users will also have enhanced overall visibility of the remaining lines to be shipped. Using this process, open sales orders are removed and backorders can instead be managed in the context of future dated orders.
Key Features
· Easily Identify Backordered Products – Review which line items are on backorder and the dates they will likely become available
· Quickly Reassign Backorders – Selected backorder lines can be moved to an entirely new sales order as a special delivery for a customer, or they can be moved to an existing sales order the customer may have for a future date
· Maintain Control of Margins – Decide whether the prices for backordered items should reflect the amounts from the original sales order or if they require updates
· Prevent Under-Delivery – Sales order lines intended to accommodate backorders are easily recognizable allowing users to quickly identify the sales order from which they originated
